NATIONAL MINORITIES’ RIGHTS DISCUSSED ONCE AGAIN
YEREVAN, JULY 17, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian Center for National and International Studies (ACNIS), a local think-tank, run by Armenia’s first post-Soviet foreign minister Raffi Hovhanesian, a native of USA, held today a seminar to look into how Armenia respects its commitments to honor the rights of national minorities, it assumed after a formal accession to the Council of Europe in 2001 January.
The key speakers were Mrs. Hranush Kharatian, the chairwoman of Hazarashen NGO, a parliament member Vazgen Khachikian and Mara Sahakian, the latter is the chairwoman of CIVITAS NGO.
