Resolution on Genocide in which by implication the Armenian Genocide in Ottoman Turkey is as well recognized has been removed from the agenda of the US Senate. As reported by “Trend” agency, “Washington Times” newspaper writes. According to the source, the pro-Armenian inspirited senators hoped to vote on the present resolution together with the bill on the budget for 2004 of the US State Department. At the last moment, as the newspaper writes, the discussion of the issue of the Armenian Genocide has been postponed for an uncertain time, “taking into consideration the incompatibility of these two questions”. The authors of the resolution on Genocide intend to put the present document on the agenda of one of the Senate sittings “at more suitable moment”, – “Washington Times” writes.
