The opening of the Armenian-Turkish border will result in about $1-billion increase in the domestic produce of Armenia. Deputy minister of trade and economic cooperation of Armenia Tigran Davtian told journalists today. In his words, the availability of southern transport communications will let twice increase Armenian export and reduce transport expenses. “The opening of the border means access to Mediterranean ports for Armenia, opportunities to develop regional tourism,” – the deputy minister said.
