Yerevan, June 30 (Noyan Tapan). The third pan-Armenian Games will be held in Yerevan on August 16-23. The solemn ceremony of opening will be held at the “Hrazdan” stadium. The draw of the third Pan-Armenian Games was held at the hall of sittings of the sport committee on June 26. 85 cities from 32 countries have submitted applications for participation in the Games so far. It is expected that more than 2,000 athletes will participate in the competitions.
Though the deadline for the submission of applications ended, the organizers of the Games think that the number of sportsmen will increase. This time sports are included into the program of the Games: football, footsal, basketball, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, badminton, swimming, athletics, chess. As it was expected, the majority of participants will be in game types of sports. 26 basketball, 20 volleyball, 20 footsal teams, as well as 26 table tennis teams will take part in the Games.
