ANKARA, JUNE 30. ARMINFO. A 9-member Turkish parliamentary group has met with authorities from the influential US based Armenian organization, the American Armenian Assemble (AAA).
The AKP Deputy General Leader Reha Denemec called for steps to be taken to normalize the relations between Armenia and Turkey. The first direct link between the two groups took place on June 13, when Ecvet Tezcan, ambassador from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Intelligence and Research Department met with the AAA. Making a speech before a committee consisting of AKP and CHP representatives, Denemec called the meetings with the AAA fruitful. Pointing out the importance of establishing dialogue, Denemec said: “We should start relations not from the most difficult point, but from the easiest one. In the normalization of our relationship, trade will play an important role.”
