The negotiations to establish Armenian-Turkish relations between representatives of the US Armenian community and Turkish officials do not represent any danger. Azeri foreign minister Vilayat Guliyev expressed this opinion, adding that the Armenian-Turkish dialogue can hardly be called something new. In his words, bilateral negotiations have already been continuing for several years, although Ankara official representatives participate in them for the first time. In an interview to “ANS” Azeri TV channel, as reported by “Arminfo” agency, the minister called the fact that the Turkish party wishes to establish contacts with the Armenian lobby, “which in fact guides the policy of Armenia,” quite natural. In his words, it is being done to discover the intentions of the Armenian party. “For a long period of time the Armenian lobby has followed an anti-Turkish policy in the US and accused Ankara. Time has come for Turkish official and diplomatic circles to respond to these accusations,” – the Azeri foreign ministry head stated.
