The Azeri embassy in Ankara has made a statement expressing hope for the Armenian border with Turkey being blocked for already ten years not to be opened. According to a report by “Turkish Daily News,” “Arminfo” agency reports, the statement notes that the Armenian frontier should not be opened unless conditions laid down to Armenia are met, i.e. “refusal from Nagorno Karabakh seizure and demands to recognize the Armenian Genocide.” Ankara’s discussing of the project of opening the border with Armenia, in the Azeri diplomacy opinion, is “a result of the pressure by Armenian lobby.” The statement also says that Armenian lobby is trying to mislead the Turkish people by proving that under the pressure put by the US and Europe official Ankara will open the borders with Armenia.
