The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia announces of 70 full scholarships for undergraduate studies and 10 scholarships for graduate studies, available for Diaspora Armenians, for 2003/2004 Academic year. According to the “Procedure on the Education of Foreign Citizens in the Republic of Armenia”, a special Committee appointed by the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia will examine the applications, and decide on granting the scholarship to applicants. The preference will be given to those, who apply for studying Armenian, Pedagogical (teaching) and Art Sciences. Along with scholarships, a paid education is also available for Diaspora applicants.
The deadline for individual application is August 20, 2003.
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia is organizing one-month training seminars on Armenian studies for Diaspora teachers, starting August 1st 2003. All kindergarten, Sunday and regular schools teachers of all grades are invited to participate.
A special program has been evaluated for training Diaspora teachers by the Ministry, and with the participation of the best teachers and scientists from Armenia and Diaspora. The training will be held both in Western and Eastern Armenian. Seminars will be accompanied by cultural programs. The participants will pass a test by the end of the program and will be given a special certificate.
There is no participation fee for teachers. However, the participants should cover their own travel and accommodation expenses. The applications should be submitted by July 1, 2003.
