YEREVAN, MAY 30, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Aviation Department said it has developed a package of measures to prevent a possible penetration of SARS in Armenia. Though no cases of SARS were reported in Armenia, the department is closely watching all arriving passengers at Yerevan’s main airport Zvartnots and at a smaller airport at Armenia’s second largest town of Gyumri.
Aviabuzh (Aviation Medical treatment) center is on 24 hour duty at both airports. Passengers of international flights arriving in Yerevan are met by doctors and suspected ones, reported by attendants are subject to obligatory medical examination. Also passengers of charter flights are being examined.
