YEREVAN, MAY 21, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian capital Yerevan is the first South Caucasian capital that will host Zep Blatter, the president of FIFA, who arrives May 22 on a two-day visit. It will the first visit of Blatter to Yerevan as FIFA president.
Football Federation of Armenia told ARMENPRESS that the same day Blatter is scheduled to meet with Armenian prime minister Andranik Margarian.
On May 23 Blatter will visit the Yerevan Pantheon to pay homage to Hakob Tonoyan, one of the prominent football players of Armenia and a former chief of Armenian Football Federation.
He will be also received the same day by president Kocharian. His itinerary also includes a visit to Yerevan Brandy Company and then he will attend an opening ceremony of a children football school in a Yerevan community. The school was built on a $400,000 allocated by FIFA. He will depart from Yerevan for the capital of neighboring Georgia.
