YEREVAN, APRIL 30, ARMENPRESS: Armenian National Academy of Sciences and Yerevan State University are getting prepared for an international conference on Armenian studies next September that will discuss the current state of Armenology and prospects for its development.
The conference, aimed to deepen cooperation between Armenia and Diaspora-based researchers will be supported also by foreign and education and science ministries.
Presenting the Academy’s annual report today its chairman, Fadey Sarkisian, said Armenian studies remain as one of the Academy’s priorities. He also cited president Kocharian who had said during a recent meeting with Academy members that Armenian studies must be given more attention by the government.
