azg: YEREVAN HOSTS BSEC MEETING

The 25-th session of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) kicked off in Yerevan Wednesday. The presiding chairman Samson Ozararat who is also Armenia’s representative in the organization, spoke about economic reforms in Armenia, noting that participants of the meeting are scheduled to have a series of meetings with Armenian businessmen to promote Armenia’s further integration with BSEC economic structures.

The views of Armenian businessmen were presented by Arsen Ghazarian, chairman of the Union of Armenian Businessmen and Industrialists. Ghazarian’s speech in English was not backed by interpretation, later reporters were told that the meeting is also to develop the new regulations of the BSEC, conditioned by dynamically developing market. BSEC secretary general Kostas Masmanidis noted that Armenia’s blockade by its neighbors Turkey and Azerbaijan creates many problems for establishment of business contacts.
