APRIL 14. An exhibition “Armenian Embroidery: Echoes of the Silk Road” opened at Alexander Tamanyan Museum in Yerevan today. The event is organized by the “Zard” public organization.
Opening the exhibition, President of the organization Yevgenia Ohanyan the models of the Armenian embroidery of the 19th century, as well as that of the masters of Europe, China and Japan were exhibited that Yerevan citizens liked to decorate their homes in the last 19th and early 20th centuries. She said the exhibits link the “tracks in the Silk Road” as all the centers where the exhibits were prepared were connected with the Great Silk Road. She also said that the majority of the exhibits were provided by the State Museum of Ethnography of Armenia.-
