MARCH 21. Despite the lack of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Armenia Turkish President Ahmed Necdet Sezer has congratulated Armenian President Robert Kocharyan on his re-election to second term.
In his congratulatory letter Sezer expresses hope that during Kocharyan’s second term “with your involvement our region will take measures to ensure long-term peace, stability and mutual cooperation.” “Accept, Excellency, the assurances of my deepest respect,” Sezer says in conclusion.
