59.1% of voters have participated in the Armenian presidential elections before polling stations closed at 8:00 p.m. Armenian central electoral commission head Artak Sahradian stated. According to the official data provided by the commission, 53% of the electorate or 1 216 503 constituents had voted by 7:30 p.m. local time. The number of voters in Yerevan was 410 141 or 55.5%, 59.9% in Aragatsotn, 62.3% in Armavir, 62.3% in Gegharkunik, 54.8% in Lori, 58% in Kotayk, 52.1% in Shirak, 69.8% in Syunik, 68.8% in Tavush. The highest rate was registered in Syunik, where 70% of electorate voted. 3764 constituents had voted abroad except for the US and Canada by 6:00 p.m. local time.
