YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 10, ARMENPRESS: President of Romania Ion Iliescu, members of government and parliament, foreign diplomats in Bucharest attended February 7 a concert in one of the best concert halls dedicated to the centenary of outstanding Armenian composer Aram Khuchaturian.
The concert, the first in a series dedicated to the Armenian composee, was organized by the Armenian embassy in Bucharest together with the Romanian Radio Broadcasting Corporation, the Armenian foreign ministry said.
Excerpts from Khachaturian’s famous works were performed by Romanian musicians. Before the concert president Iliescu addressed the audience praising highly Khachaturian’s music and his contributions to the development of Romanian modern music as well.
