Yesterday president of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharian was awarded premium after Svyatoslav Fyodorov in “International Activities” nomination and “Adherent of Education. In memory of the 200-th Anniversary of A.S.Pushkin’s Birthday” medal. As noted at the awarding ceremony, the Armenian leader is honored with these awards for the important contribution to the strengthening of friendship and cooperation, development of economic, scientific and technical, cultural and historical ties between Armenia and Russia. Chairman of the Fund for contribution to development of advanced medical technologies after Svyatoslav Fyodorov Iren Fyodorova, director of the Institute after Kurchatov, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Yevgeny Velikhov, leader of Workers’ Party for Self-Government of Russia Levon Chakhmakhchian, numerous chess champion Anatoly Karpov, space pilot Musa Manarov and other prominent cultural workers and scientists arrived in Yerevan for handing the awards.
