armenpress: EXHIBITION OF IRANIAN ART OPENS IN YEREVAN

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 4, ARMENPRESS: An exhibition of Iranian art opened Monday in Yerevan dedicated to the 24-th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran. Speaking at the opening ceremony the head of culture division at Iranian embassy in Yerevan Mr. Mohsen Abutalebi said the Revolution has brought reforms in all areas of life in Iran.

Iran’s ambassador to Yerevan Mr. Mohammad Farhad Koleini praised the growing cultural contacts between the two neighbor nations, saying this year will see more exchange programs.

Deputy culture minister of Armenia Karen Aristakesian stressed that Armenian government is encouraging the developing culturaland economic cooperation with Iran. He mentioned a set of bilateral agreements aimed at preservation of historical monuments, cooperation in film making and archival activities.

The exhibition has on display the works of an Iranian painter Fateme Dorfeshani and photographer Amir Ali Javadian. The opening ceremony was followed by a concert performed by Iranian students studying in Yerevan.
