JANUARY 25. The construction of a new atomic power plant in Armenia is not expedient as its supply will not find an adequate demand, Armenia’s President Robert Kocharyan said at a meeting with Armenian scientists today. He said that this project would cost $1.5 bln. Armenia must have a powerful energy plant to be independent from energy imports. However, today one can only speak about either water energy substitutes or modernization of the operating Nuclear Power Plant or building of a new block.
