Armenian president Robert Kocharian signed a decree January 7 releasing Ashot Manukian from the position of a member of the Public TV and Radio Council. By another decree he appointed his advisor Alexan Harutunian and Vartan Kopian as new members of the Council.
The decision comes after last December 28 murder of Tigran Naghdalian who was chairman of the Council. Alexan Harutunian was elected Wednesday new chairman of the Council.
