TEHRAN –Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi stressed the importance of strengthening peace, regional security and close cooperation between the Caucasian and Caspian states during his meeting with visiting Azeri Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hassanov.
The Iranian-Azeri talks dwelt on further development of bilateral ties in various spheres, including economics, trade and transport.
“Iran will support a political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia and will be glad if the leaders of these two countries exchange visits,” the Iranian foreign minister emphasized.
Kharrazi expressed hope that Azerbaijan and Armenia would be able to overcome the crisis in their relations, IRNA reported.
