Noyan Tapan: ALL ROADS IN ARMENIA ARE SNOW-COVERED AND ICE-COVERED, THREE ROADS ARE CLOSED

YEREVAN, December 25 (Noyan Tapan). As of December 25 noon, as a result of a strong snowstorm it is the fourth day in succession that the Goris-Sisian sector of road is closed, Berd-Chambarak sector of road, the road crossing the Tashir-Gergia border have been closed since the previous day. According to the press service of the RA Ministry of Transport and Communication, the Martuni-Vardenis, Vardenis-Chambarak, Artik-Gyumri, Artik-Maralik sectors of road are hard-to-pass, there is a strong wind on the Semyonovka sector of the Yerevan-Sevan highway. The snowstorm is continuing on the Ashtarak-Aparan and Aparan-Tsaghkahovit sectors, the wind comparatively calmed down in Artik. According to the same source, all the roads of Armenia, in general, are snow-covered and ice-covered. Though ice-covered ground is periodically cleaned, highways are still ice-covered because of low temperatures.
