DECEMBER 23. While flying from Moscow to Yerevan Sunday evening a Boeing-737 of the Aeroflot company (Russia) was forced to make an emergency landing at Baku’s Bina airport.
A source at the Yerevan Office of Aeroflot told ARMINFO that the plane with 131 people onboard was denied landing in Armenia because of bad weather. After making two circles over the country, the plane landed in Baku. He stayed there for 2.5 hours. The local police cordoned off the aircraft with the passengers inside to prevent incidents.
Armenian and Azeri dispatchers had been in constant touch until today morning when the plane was received by Yerevan’s Armenia Airport. The same day it left for Moscow.
