YEREVAN, December 20 (Noyan Tapan). The building of the Young Spectator’s Theater in Yereven is involved in the list of cultural establishments repaired under a Lincy Foundation program. According to Hakob Ghazanchian, the Artistic Director and Head Stage Director of the Theater, the capital repairs of the building will begin in mid-January. About 340 mln drams (about $585,000) have been allocated for the repairs of this building. The theater without having a permanent hall will perform in the buildings of other theaters during this period. And the spring season will begin with a premiere: the staging of the “Times of Neron and Seneka” play by Edward Radzinski will be presented. According to Hakob Ghazanchian, the coming year will become a year of tours and festivals for the theater, which is a very joyful phenomenon for the theater staff. The Stage Director stressed that the Young Spectator’s Theater with the staging of the “Clouds” play of Aristofan will participate in the international theater festival after Chekhov in Moscow in May, 2003. According to Hakob Ghazanchian, this festival is one of the greatest dramatic festivals in the world, and staffs with international recognition participate in this festival. Then the theater group will leave for Kiev with the same performance in order to participate in the “Kiev Travnevi” festival.
