NOVEMBER 23. Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) University proved to be the leading higher educational establishment not only in Armenia, but also in the whole Transcaucasus, Vice Chairman of Russian State Duma Georgi Boos. He said the university is not only an educational center, but also a center of the Armenian-Russian friendship, Armenian and Russian cultures and history, as well as a guarantee of future close cooperation. According to Georgi Boos, Russian State Duma has allocated 40 mln rubles to the university for 2003. A similar sum will be allocated by the Armenian budget, he added.
