Catholicos Karekin II, head of the Armenian Apostolic Church, left November 10 morning for a maiden pontifical visit to Australia and new Zealand.
Armenian Church headquarters said His Holiness Karekin II will stop in Bangkok, Thailand, November 11-13, from there he will fly to Australia to visit Sydney and Melbourne cities with strong Armenian communities. The pontifical visit will conclude November 27-28 in Singapore.
During the visit Karekin II will serve masses in different Armenian churches and will meet members of the Armenian community, representatives of local authorities and clergy.
