Today Armenia and Russia signed a protocol about the transmission of Armenian companies shares to Russia as an offset of debt. Russia acquired JSC Mars shares as well as the bonds of Armenian National Research Institutes, mathematical equipment, Automated Managing Systems and property complex of Razdanskaya Thermal Power Station, owned by Armenia. Armenian government debt in front of Russia amounts to $100mln.
At the press-conference in Yerevan, Russian Prime Minister Mihail Kasyanov said that according to the signed protocol, Russia will inform which of Russian companies will manage or co-operate with these Companies.
In compliance with Prime Minister, Russia is interested in including production capacity and scientific potential of Armenian companies into Russian government programs, particularly into those concerning the development of electronic industry and production equipment systems. According to Kasyanov, acquiring these companies, Russia plans to integrate them into Russian producing complexes. Prime Minister also said that, the transmission itself will take place within three months of the running year.
