The Armenian embassy in Washington, USA, is organizing a concert at World Bank Hall November 2, dedicated to the 100-th anniversary of the prominent Armenian composer Aram Khachatrian. Violinist Sergey Azizyan and pianist Vahan Sarkisian will perform for the audience.
A press release by the Armenian embassy in Washington also says that Sergey Azizyan got his musical education in Yerevan and Russia’s Saint Petersburg. He was award winner at a Copenhagen competition. Now he works with a local ensemble and also teaches at the local Conservatory.
Vahan Sarkisian is also a native of Yerevan. He received education in Yerevan and Pennsylvania, USA. He was award winner at competitions in Rio de Janeiro and Pittsburgh, USA.
Alongside with the works of Aram Khachaturian also works of other Armenian composers will be performed.
