A Swiss charitable organization KAZA has supported construction and furnishing of a secondary school in Gogaran, province of Lori. The schools has a computer class with 12 computers for around 300 pupils. The organization is helping now to furnish a musical classroom. Musical instruments, bought and shipped by benefactors, have reached the destination.
The school had been razed to ground by 1988 earthquake that also claimed the lives of 12 pupils. Pupils were until recently having their classes at a temporary unit. Construction of the school building began last year. Dario and Monica Bondolf, a couple from Switzerland, who head the KAZA organization, also other benefactors from Swiss and French organizations, arrived to attend the inauguration ceremony. A total of $400,000 were spent on the construction and purchase of facilities of the school.
