OCTOBER 15. The first international festival of sacred music was recently opened in Dijon, France, with the participation of Mayor of Dijon Francoure Rebsamen and Armenian Ambassador to France Edward Nalbandian, the press service of the Armenian Foreign Office reported. TRhe festival was organized with the sponsorship of the UNESCO Director General and was held under the motto “Accord and Peace”. Three groups performing national sacred music from three countries, Armenia, Italy and Morocco, were invited to the festival to present the religious and cultural traditions of the three world religions, Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Attending the festival were political figures, statemen and art critics.
