Coordinator of the Turkish-Armenian business development council Noyan
Soyak has expressed hope that positive developments in the Armenian-Turkish
relations will be maintained, despite the recent political events in
Turkey.
In an interview to Armenian reporters, Noyan Soyak said that the Turkish
Foreign Minister Ismail Cem’s resignation will not have any negative
impact on the Armenian-Turkish dialogue. `We hope that the Armenian and
Turkish
authorities will continue to make every effort to establish mutual
understanding and mutually beneficial relations between the two countries,’
Noyan Soyak said. The already former Turkish Foreign Minister Ismail Cem,
who resigned yesterday, had met with his Armenian counterpart three times
this
year. The new Turkish Foreign Minister, Sukru Sina Gurel used to be the
country’s Deputy Prime Minister before the new appointment.
