In the interview given to Russian “Trud”
newspaper, president Kocharian heralded, that
“Our country has no intentions to claim its
membership in NATO. It is possible we keep
entirely neutral position”, – said Robert
Kocharian.
Speaking about the freedom of speech in our
country, president Kocharian expressed his
opinion that the Armenian press is “free but not
responsible”.
According to his words, “that is the Mass Media
situation in all countries living their transitional
period.” Robert Kocharian had mentioned that in Armenia
“the matters concerning the contents of typed
materials, representation of false facts or their
misrepresentation, and hurting are out of one’s responsibility.”
