OSCE Chairperson-in-Office will travel to Yerevan, Baku

PanARMENIAN.Net – OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Slovakian Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák has announced his intention to visit Yerevan and Baku to discuss the process of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, Interfax.az reports.

“Having received invitation from Armenia and Azerbaijan, I am planning to visit Baku and Yerevan in early March to discuss the issue,” he told the joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

He noted Slovakia “fully supports the co-chairs of the Minsk Group” in the settlement of the conflict.

According to Lajčák, there’s a new situation in Armenia after the elections, “there is a government that has a very strong mandate, and some expectations are connected with it”.

“Our goal is to help the co-chairs to use this new situation,” the Slovak diplomat said.

Meanwhile, Lavrov said the co-chairs from Russia, France and the United States are working closely with the OSCE.
