Armenia Participated in the International Cuisine Festival in Delhi

On January 26, on the Day of the Republic of India, at the Jawaharlal Nehru University the annual Festival of International Cuisine was held, where University’s foreign students present their national dishes. This time it was organized more solemnly, because it was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the University – JNU. Among the participants were: Armenia, India, Russia, Germany, China, Syria, Egypt, Korea, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Nepal, Afghanistan, etc. The Armenian Cultural Center of Delhi designed the Armenian pavilion with the Armenian flag, paintings, souvenirs. Members of the Center prepared various delicious national dishes, among them: tolma with grape leaves and cabbage, tolma pasuts, eggplants with nuts, gata and other sweets.

Throughout the festival, the Armenian pavilion was full of people. Everyone wanted to try Armenian dishes, which attracted them with their beautiful and delicious look and appetizing smell. During the festival, a concert was organized with performances by participants from different countries, with welcoming speeches by the University authorities and ambassadors of several countries. On the territory of the campus until late at night, there was music and speech from all over the world, joined by cries of peacocks, parrots and other birds living in the jungle of the JNU campus.
