Armenia has voted against a UN General Assembly resolution urging Russia to withdraw its troops from the “occupied territory of Crimea”.
Sixty-six countries, including Georgia, supported the measure, with only 19 national delegations expressing their disagreement. Azerbaijan abstained from voting, Lenta.ru reports.
The document describes Russia as an “occupant posing a regional hazard”, highlighting threats to Ukraine’s security stemming from Russia’s actions in the Black Sea region.
