Amid the campaign for the snap parliamentary election in Armenia, Russia is reportedly sending envoys to probe the pre-election situation.
The Russian authorities are said to be concerned over the dominance of pro-Western political forces in the country’s future parliament.
Citing an “informed source”, the paper says that the Kremlin has serious reservations especially with respect to such central figures as David Sanasaryan, the head of the State Oversight Service, and Babken Grigoryan, the initiator of the civic movement Putin go Fuck yourself. Both are candidates of Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party. Also, several politicians and public figures linked to George Soros’ Open Society Foundation are thought to have seriously troubled Russia, says the paper.
