Yerevan’s 2800th anniversary celebrations: Where to go

Number of festive events are planned on Sunday, October 21, in Yerevan as part of the Armenia capital’s 2800th anniversary celebrations. The Municipality of Yerevan has released the program of the events planned in the central squares and parks of the capital city throughout the day.

The events will start at 08:00 with the Yerevan Marathon with the participation of 2800 runners starting the race from Shahumyan square. The list of the events worth attending are presented below:
– 12:00 – 18:00 – Multiethnic Yerevan, Stage of national minorities at English park
– 12:00 – 13:00 – I am in love with you, Yerevan cycling race to start from Shahumyan square
– 13:00 – 18:00 – Sunny Yerevan Festive programs for children to be held at Children’s park after Kirov
– 14:00 – 15:00 – Festive Yerevan Brass bands parade at Azatutyun square, Tumanyan, Mashtots, Amiryan, Republic square
– 14:00 – 18:00 – My classic Yerevan classic music stage in front of Conservatoire
– 15:00 – 18:00 – Yerevan sketches stage of music bands at Northern Avenue
– 16:00 – 22:00 – My Armenian Yerevan stage for national songs and dances at Azatutyun square
– 16:00 – 21:00 – My Jazz Yerevan jazz music stage at Cascade
– 17:00- 22:00 Yerevan rock music stage at Aznavour square
– 19:30 – 21:00 Gala-concert at Republic Square
– 21:30 – Fireworks

Yerevan History Museum and Erebuni historical and archaeological reserve-museum will be open for public free of charge from 11:00 – 19:00.
