The well-known Israeli political scientist, public figure Avigdor Eskin published a video dedicated to Charles Aznavour on his Facebook.

“Not everyone knows, but the maestro and his family saved the Jews during the Paris occupation by the Germans. They were refugees from Turkey who managed to survive. Indeed, Armenians were destroyed in Turkey in 1915. They survived and, once in Paris, they saved the Jews. This is what we need to know about Aznavour. This is an eternal memory,” he said.

The political scientist also urges various Israeli associations to join his proposal to open a memorial to Charles Aznavour in the Holy Land in memory of 1915 Genocide victims.

According to him, the opening of the memorial is more important than the promotion of the resolution of the Armenian Genocide in the Israeli Knesset.

As reported earlier, French singer of Armenian origin Charles Aznavour has died aged 94.
