Solar power plants with total capacity of 100 megawatt to be built in Armenia, Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources Artur Grigoryan told the reporters today, summing up the 100th day of his work.
“Restoring energy is a priority for us and is of serious strategic significance. It stems from the need to have less dependence from other energy resources,” the minister said.
He stressed the importance of development of solar energy in Armenia.
“The ministry will conduct discussions and submit proposals to the Public Services Regulatory Commission for the construction of solar stations with total capacity of 100 megawatt by January 1, 2020,” Grigoryan said.
