BEIRUT, JULY 11, ARMENPRESS. Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia Aram I held a meeting with director of ARMENPRESS news agency Aram Ananyan on July 10 in Beirut, Lebanon. Editors of the Azdak, Zartonk and Ararat daily newspapers and staff of the Catholicosate’s information department were also in attendance of the meeting.
The sides discussed the situation in Armenia and issues related to the Armenia-Diaspora cooperation, as well as the role and challenges of Armenian news media in the Diaspora and Armenia.
The Catholicos stressed that Armenian press has practical role in the pan-national mission of preservation of Armenian identity, along with the Armenian Church and school.
