“As a main party to the conflict Nagorno Karabakh should have a decisive voice in the settlement process,” Armenia’s Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan stated at a press conference following talks with Heiko Maas, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Panorama reports.
STEPANAKERT, JUNE 30, ARTSAKHPRESS: “We certainly reflected on the Nagorno Karabakh issue. I reiterated the commitment of the Armenian government to solve the conflict through exclusively peaceful means under the auspices of internationally agreed format of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship,” the minister said.
Mnatsakanyan next stressed that the Artsakh status and security matters remain of important priorities for the Armenian side.
“We shared the view Heiko in the need of establishing favourable atmosphere for peace. With this regard we highly value Germany’s Unequivocal support for OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs’ mediation efforts in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement process,” the minister concluded.
