Armenian ballet dancer Vahagn Margaryan has been awarded first prize at the International Baltic Ballet Competition held in Riga.
Margaryan, dancer at the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet after A. Spendiaryan, took the second place amid a vacant first place in the professionals’ competition.
To note, International Baltic Ballet Competition features stars from around the world and allows dance enthusiasts to enjoy world-class performances from classical to avant-garde. The festival is complemented by various exhibitions on the theme of dance.
Vahagn Margaryan was born on September 5, 1995 in Armenia. Hes started to dance since his childhood. At the age of 14 he entered Yerevan State College of Dance, to the department of Armenian Folk Dance, but later in 2010 he moved to the department of Ballet. In Eurovision Young dancers Vahagn’s choreographer is Arsen Mehrabyan, the leading dancer of Swedish Royal Ballet.
