70th anniversary prayer service

World Council of Churches Central Committee members will join local church leaders, partners and friends of the council, as well as staff and former staff living in and near Geneva for a 10-11 a.m. prayer service at St Pierre cathedral, followed by a welcome drink offered by the Protestant Church of Geneva in the courtyard of the cathedral. Ecumenical Patriarch His All-Holiness Bartholomew I has kindly accepted to give the homily. A four-person delegation from the Korean Christian Federation from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is also expected to be with us – an historic milestone on its own!

Member churches throughout the world are invited to join in spirit for a moment of thanksgiving and celebration on that day.
