Carpet production increased in Armenia by 50% in January 2018 as compared to the production volumes in the same period of the previous year, according to the National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia (NSS).
According to the source, 0.6 tons of carpets and carpet coverings have been produced in the republic in January this year. To note, the carpet production levels constituted mostly a decrease, yet recorded increase per annum.
The statistics show 19.8 tons of carpets and carpet coverings have been produced in the republic in 2017 which is 10% increase to compare with the production volumes of 2016.
