Humanitarians and Global Leaders Arrive in Yerevan for Aurora Prize

Humanitarians from around the world and global leaders have convened in Yerevan, Armenia on the occasion of the inaugural Aurora Prize Ceremony. The ceremony will take place Sunday evening at 9:00 pm in Yerevan — Sunday, April 24, 10 AM PDT and will stream on www.AuroraPrize.com.

On behalf of the survivors of the Armenian Genocide and in gratitude to their saviors, the Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity will be granted annually to an individual whose actions have had an exceptional impact on preserving human life and advancing humanitarian causes.
The Aurora Prize Laureate will be honored with a US $100,000 award.
In addition, that individual will have the unique opportunity to continue the cycle of giving by selecting an organization that inspired their work to receive a US $1,000,000 grant.
The Aurora Prize will be awarded annually on April 24 in Yerevan, Armenia.
In addition to the Prize, 100 LIVES has initiated The Aurora Dialogues, which provide a platform for leading humanitarians, academics, philanthropists and media experts to come together to participate in a series of challenging discussions about some of today’s most pressing humanitarian challenges — modern-day slavery, refugees, role of international organizations and governments, and much more. Watch the discussions at bit.ly/1NoMthp.

The Institute of Armenian Studies is proud to partner with The 100Lives Initiative and welcomes the discussion the Aurora Prize and the Aurora Dialogues have sparked.
