Help Artsakh

Armenia Fund deeply appreciates your generous support! Without friends like you, we could not serve those in Armenia and Artsakh in need! It was in the darkest hour of the Artsakh War of Independence, when Azeri tanks were only 10 miles away from capturing Stepanakert that Armenia Fund made an appeal to every Armenian around the world to donate one gram of gold each to save the homeland from another Genocide.

Hundreds of thousands of Armenians from around the world responded to Armenia Fund’s Meg Gram Voski campaign raising many millions that were so desperately needed to save tens of thousands of Armenian lives.

Luckily when the leadership of Azerbaijan decided to unleash another war on Artsakh in the early hours of April 2 of this year, our men and women in uniform were well prepared, well trained and well equipped. Within 72 hours the massive and unprecedented attack that included enemy air force, heavy tanks, long range artillery and rockets were repelled with no territory lost. Scared of ceding new territories, the enemy was forced to agree to continue to honor the terms of the ceasefire signed back in 1994.
The imposed peace came at a price of 29 lost lives, 26 missing in action and 102 wounded. Some of the victims were as young as 12 and as old as 92.
We call on you today to help us assist the families of brave Armenian soldiers who lost their lives defending Artsakh’s freedom. We all owe it to their sacred memory to be able to care for their surviving spouses, children and parents. We will also need your help to rebuild the lives of people whose houses, schools, kindergartens, community centers and first aid stations were damaged by artillery and rocket fire, mostly in the Martakert region of Artsakh. Armenia Fund is still in the process of assessing the damage to the civilian infrastructure, but one thing is sure that it is massive.
We thank you in advance for your generosity and caring towards the brave men and women of Artsakh who, for the second time in 25 years, changed the course of Armenian history! #ArmeniaFund #ArtsakhStrong #NKPeace
