Tribute to dead Armenian fighters for France

On november 11, to mark the signing of the armistice in 1918, the Armenian community of France bowed to the statue of General Andranik at Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris. A little later one second ceremony paid tribute to the dead Armenian fighters for the French Republic. Mrs. George Pau-Langevin, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Education, responsible for Educational Success, filed a flower wreath at the foot of the Armenian monument in the name of France. According to documents, 700 Armenians lost their lives on the battlefield during the First World War.
