We extend greetings and blessings from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, to our nation’s sons and daughters throughout Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora, congratulating them on the festive occasion of the First Republic Day.
Today we celebrate the remembrance of the regeneration of the Armenian State, which became a reality after a century-long pause. Ninety-four years ago, on this bright day in May, our fathers proclaimed the first Republic of Armenia, and in our native skies the tri-colored flag waved as a symbol of the realization of our people’s dream to live freely and independently.
Giving thanks to the Lord, the May heroic battles and the memory of the declaration of the first Republic of Armenia, inspire our nation today, reinforcing national statehood and giving hope of building its bright future.
In front of the Holy Altar of Descent of the Mother Cathedral, we pray from our heart that Almighty God keep our nation and our faithful sons and daughters in heavenly blessings and grant our people success in their God-pleasing endeavors.
