After having attended the special concert of Charles Aznavour in Olympia, President Sargsyan was received Thursday by the mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoë. The two men are happiness of the good relationships between Erevan and Paris, a friendship which will be reinforced in 2012 with the arrival at Erevan of the mayor of Paris.
Moreover, in front of 600 French of Armenian descent Mr. Delanoë has reaffirmed his support for the just Armenian cause and “to fight against falsifications of the history, because these people suffered a genocide, and it is forbidden to deny it”, he hammered, under the applause.
President Sargsyan thanked his host for his “support clear and unambiguous support”, and he addressed to the Armenian community. ” You played a important role in relations between France and Armenia” […] You are exemplary citizens. I hope that your sons will be it also, while preserving their cultural identity. Your only existence is important to us, although if we have differences between us”, he said.
