Aznavour triumphs in front of “its two Presidents”

On Wednesday September 28 evening, several  French ministers and friends of Armenia came to attend the Charles Aznavour Show in Olympia Music Hall to mark  the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Armenia, in presence of Nicolas Sarkozy and Serj Sargsyan.

It’s under a thunder of applause that Charles Aznavour welcomed the French and Armenian presidents to say ” I want to thank my two presidents because their presence is important for our struggles.” 

This special show brought together several Armenian and French artists friends of the pope of the French song. Among them: pianist Vartan Mamikonian, soprano Hasmig Papian, Tigran Hamasyan, humorists Michel Leeb and imitator Laurent Gerra. But also, Jazzman Andre Manoukian and Levon Minassian, Seda Aznavour, Helene Ségara who sang “They fell” (Ils sont tombés), Patrick Fiori and Julien Clerc. The concert was for the benefit of association Aznavour for Arménia.
